Gear

Ok, it’s summer… but think that you’re going to snowboard at a an altitude of 3000 m above sea level! So do not forget the usual snowboard gear: board, bindings, boots, snowboard clothing… The weather at the glacier can change a lot from one day to the next. It’s usually sunny and hot but sometimes it gets cold and you’ll a need a jacket. Down in the village though, it’s really summer and we’re even going to go to the open pool (so bring your swimming trunks).

Also, remember that snowboarding is a risky sport, specially freestyle. We at SMK promote responsible riding. We want you to have in mind what you’re able and not able to do. But eventhough, accidents occur even amongst experienced riders. That’s why we suggest you always use PROTECTIONS. We advise you to use a helmet, a back protector and a butt protector. They are essential in the snowpark.
